Franz Sedlacek (1891-1945) Song in the Twilight (Lied in der Dämmerung) - Oil on canvas - 1931
There's a room in my mind that is
A little Dali and
A little Magritte
Where Gothic cords slip
Like ghostly skaters in
Foreign realities
Where dark wings
Breeze and
Siren colours
Pulse
An invitation to be
Another
There's a room in my mind that is
A little Dali and
A little Magritte
Where Sedlacek dreams are
Welcome

Enjoyed a look into your mind..I find a little Poe in mine at times
Not only your references to artists, but the art of your words paints a picture of your state of mind...I have rooms in my mind that each have their own description..I never know which one inspiration will have me dwell in.
I too have a room that is a little Dali!! wonderfully put here - loved "an invitation to be another" - great write here :)
