Two Waterfalls

Rafael Saldana (1930-2000) ~ Two Waterfalls
Rafael lived in Liffey, a hamlet in northern Tasmania, facing Dry's Bluff in the Western Tiers.
He enjoyed painting whimsical interpretations of his environment.
Many of his paintings are now available on postcards.
This is my photo of one of them.

Deep in a mossy gully
Where a waterfall
Spills
Her soul

My earth
Feels close
To you

UPDATE NOTE
: (from Kylie Eastley Consultancy Friday July 6, 2018)
So, if you came to my little 1960s house in the suburbs for tea, what would you see now…forty years on? On the wall is a small painting by a dear friend and artist, Rafael Saldana. Rafael and his lovely wife Maria introduced me to Sangria and we spent many hours talking art, travel and their bohemian times in Sydney in the 60’s. Our friendship began when I was only 17 and over the years Ralf and I would talk about art, Maria and I would discuss life, relationships and their mulberry trees as we sat in their wonderful garden in Launceston and later spent time at Liffey. It’s a simple painting of two birds in his garden; but I recognise the plants, the light and his style. It’s one of my most prized possessions.

What lovely panting, your words seem to reflect the sensory or scenery. None the less it;s lovely and moving like water through my eyes as I read. Blessings

The beauty of feel provided by the green environment can never fully be appreciated. It is always there and one must also be there to get the best! Nicely Gemma!

I like the line about the waterfall spilling her soul. A very sensual write.

Your poem - short and sweet. It goes perfectly with the picture of the painting. Nice.
